Friday Finds - Boston for #LDW2015

In an installment I'm calling 'Friday Finds,' I will share my take on new things I experience.  Everything from cities and restaurants to workouts and recipes, if I try it, I will let you know about it.

For this week's Friday Finds, I'm sharing my visit to Boston.  My husband and I decided to visit Beantown during Labor Day Weekend for a couple of different reasons.  For one, it was LDW (duh), which for me always provides a chance to squeeze in some last minute summer fun.  But secondly, and mainly, it was our one year wedding anniversary.  We've had a lot of changes going on in our lives over the past few months and weren't planning on doing anything out of the ordinary dinner but sometimes spontaneity just strikes.  It came in the form of an app my husband introduced me to called HotelTonight, where you're able to score last minute hotel deals in your city of choice.  We were eyeing NYC as we're only a 20 min. train ride away but decided to explore a city we've never been to before, plus the price was right!  We had such a fantastic stay, great eats, and truly enjoyed the vibe of the city.  The locals were also very welcoming, especially despite having accidentally sat in the seats of a Red Sox season ticket holder, oops (she was great though).  Highlights and photos from the trip after the jump.  Enjoy!

Sometimes you gotta go...

Lounging around in Harvard Square

We definitely chose this hotel because of this...

When you visit Boston, go to Barcelona in the South End and order their wine flight. You'll thank me later.

Then pair that flight with the paella. Fact: we may or may not have visited this place two nights in a row.

Shout out to Colonnade Hotel for those plush robes and extremely comfy stay.

If you have any questions about my stay feel free to ask away!  Also, if you're thinking of trying out HotelTonight for a last minute getaway, use my code: JAGUDELO08 and you'll get $25 off!  Just doing my duty and paying it forward.  If you do end up using this app, I'd love to know where you stayed and if you liked it.

Take Care!
